Senior Production Engineer

Summary Venturi, LLC, Aa Chenega company, has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Production Engineeer to work in Crane, IN, Huntsville, AL, or the Greater DC area.
This individual will provide support to NSWC Crane and the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) Hypersonic weapons system program.
The Senior Production Engineer will assist the Government National Team (GNT) in all production planning and coordination activities, working closely with top program leadership and a variety of other providers and stakeholders (service agencies, prime contractor, government national labs, warfare centers, and suppliers).
The Senior Production Engineer will develop production plans and processes and assist with weapon system design monitoring and production supply chain monitoring for production impacts, as well as execution and cost monitoring for production activities.
The Senior Production Engineer shall also support the evaluation of the prime contractor's design for manufacturing readiness and producibility.
Responsibilities Provide insight into production schedules, technical issues, and costs for effective government oversight of production efforts.
Conduct weapons system component lead time assessments based on program acquisition strategy and integration milestones.
Review subcontract proposals for assertions, assumptions, and caveats.
Provide supply chain status and risk as input to Program Flight Test Schedules.
Conduct Vendor Capacity assessments to support production of the weapon system.
Gather cost data and prepare component unit cost summaries.
Provide weekly production status reports to CPS functional area leadership and prepare briefings as needed.
Participate in all production site, supply chain status, and technical IPT meetings.
Review and advise on establishing production planning and control processes and optimizing the overall effectiveness of the organization, methods, systems, and procedures.
Review and advise on building quality requirements into technical review criteria and program planning.
Review and advise on building producibility into and evaluating effectiveness of designs (tooling, facilities, and products).
Review and advise on building quality characteristics into and evaluating effectiveness of quality systems used in the designs of products and services.
Develop system-level quality metrics for tracking.
Supervisory Responsibilities - N/A Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering with 10
years relevant experience (production, manufacturing, quality) Background in DoD production activities (Army/Navy weapons systems preferred) with role in production or manufacturing oversight at vendor facilities Must possess and maintain DoD secret security clearance The position requires a COVID vaccination or an approved accommodation/exemption for a disability/medical condition or religious belief Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to work in a high paced environment while coordinating with multiple organizations and leadership.
Ability to work cross-organization coordination efforts and engage directly with senior DoD personnel and industry executives.
Ability to work independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks to solve engineering/scientific problems.
Strong oral presentation and written communication skills.
Ability to lead high-level working group meetings and deliver briefings to top program leadership.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to execute and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Travel:
Ability to travel 20-25% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
