SCA Engineering Tech II with Security Clearance

Overview ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (2023-19141) :
Bowhead seeks an Engineering technician to support the Infrared Radio Frequency (IR/RF) Division at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) in Crane, Indiana.
The Engineering Technicians will be responsible for performing complex engineering assignments in a research and development environment.
The Engineering Technicians will utilize various production equipment including, but not limited to, injection mold machines, metal lathes and must be experienced with soldering and welding equipment.
Responsibilities Essential functions will include:
Constructing components, subunits or models and adapting equipment to be used in support of the IR/RF division.
Constructing and packaging devices according to specific layouts and diagrams provided.
Conducting various tests on machines and parts as well as measuring, preparing, operating and recording test data.
Assisting in design modification after failures and modifications are identified and addressed.
Other duties as assigned Qualifications A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Knowledge and advance experience in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining.
Must be a Certified Welder.
CAD CAM experience is not required but prefered.
Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level.
US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
